Directions/Rules for Choo Choo Train

The Choo Choo Train is a wonderful ride and we never rent this out without a driver ("our operator") who has been properly trained and supervised by Colonial Amusement Rentals, L. L. C. for a period of time. Our driver cannot drive the train and safely board the passengers and be assured that they are under seat belts. Therefore it is imperative that at least 1 but preferably two people help with the "Choo Choo Train."

  1. The first supervisor should maintain the line and help the people unhook the seatbelts and depart the train safely. Then they should help the new passengers board the train and make sure the seat belts are hooked properly.
  2. The first supervisor must also be the only one to tell the driver when it is safe to move the train. (Any child standing between the train cars when the train takes off will have their legs broken. We take safety seriously)
  3. The driver is not allowed to move the train until given the order by the first supervisor.
  4. The second supervisor needs to do the same as the first supervisor with the exception that they are responsible to sit in the back car while the ride is in progress so that if anyone puts their hands or feet out of the train they may be corrected.
  5. However if anyone jumps on or off the ride; second supervisor must report the same to the driver and make sure that that person does not ride the train again until their parents or guardian are brought over and can assure Colonial Amusement Rentals, L. L. C. or its driver or the people in charge of the event that this abuse will not happen again.
  6. The second supervisor is also responsible to make sure that the seat belts from the empty seats do not hang down so that they are not destroyed by the wheels. All seat belts should be hooked during every ride. No exceptions.
  7. If there is only one supervisor, then they are responsible for all of the above. (One supervisor can do it but it is better with two.)
  8. There is nothing hard about any of these rules and they will become very clear and simple when they are gone over by us before the ride begins.

Directions/Rules 36 Feet Tall Rocket Slide
  1. Person supervising "Slide" must be with "Slide" at all times. If anyone is on the "Slide", there must be someone 16 yrs or older in charge of the "Slide" on duty.
  2. No "Horse Play" of any kind is allowed. Any horse play will void any insurance and/or liability claims. (The definition of "Horse Play:" It is also known as but not limited to the following terms: "Pushing, shoving, wrestling, goofing off, flipping or excessive movement or behavior which would invade the area that another child or person occupies")
  3. There must be a small teenage person 16 years or older (preferably a girl) at the top of the slide at all times to keep things flowing and to make sure that there is no horse play as defined previously.
    1. Also, the 16 year old must be very responsible and trustworthy as to morals since they are going to be helping very small children. (I wish I did not have to address this issue, but the truth of the matter is that this is a place out of sight where anyone could have an opportunity to molest small children.
    2. It is also a place where certain children like to hang out and stand up and see out of the top of the slide. This cannot be allowed since a child could be killed if they fall from the height of 24 feet)
    3. The slide has netting over the top where the children slide but there is always some smart teen who wants to do something dangerous. That is why we must have someone at the top.
  4. The supervisor at the bottom of the slide should not allow more than six children to ascend to the top of the slide until someone comes down. Each time a child comes down another should be released to ascend. In this way the ride flows very fast.
  5. This ride as well as all of our rides are totally safe as long as they are properly supervised. We have never come close to an accident on our rides because we seek to really supervise the supervisors and train your people to be safe.
  6. This ride is for all ages, children under 5 should be accompanied by an older person (12 years or older). You should be able to tell if the child needs help or not.

Directions/Rules for Bugsy The Caterpillar
  1. Person supervising the Caterpillar must be at this inflatable ride at all times. If anyone is in the Caterpillar, there must be someone 16 yrs or older in charge of the Caterpillar on duty.
  3. Only 3 to 12 year olds should be in the Caterpillar and definitely no one that you think weighs in excess of 100 lbs. The only exception to this rule is if an older sibling or father or mother is helping a baby under 3 years of age to experience the fun of the Caterpillar inflatable.
  4. Only 4 children are allowed in the Caterpillar at a time. As soon as one of the four exits the Caterpillar, then another child should enter.
  5. The entrance and exit should be kept closed as much as possible due to the fact that the Caterpillar becomes too soft if the doors are kept open.
  6. The Caterpillar is designed so that the children enter the mouth and goes out the other end. No one should ever enter the exit area because children are sliding down into this area and could be hurt.
  7. Children should not be allowed to stay in the Caterpillar but be encouraged to keep moving so other children will have an opportunity to experience the fun.

Directions/Rules For The Radar Pitch
  1. Person supervising the Radar Pitch must be at this inflatable at all times. If anyone is at the Radar Pitch, there must be someone 16 yrs or older in charge of the Radar Pitch on duty.
  3. The object of this inflatable is to allow each person 10 years or older to throw three baseballs and see how many MPH that they are capable of throwing them.
  4. One of the operators from Colonial Amusement Rentals will teach the Supervisor from the event how to manipulate the settings on the Radar Gun.
  5. The Radar Gun will not register any pitches thrown under 25 miles per hour, therefore there needs to be a restriction for children under 10 years old. However, it is up to the discretion of the Supervisor from the event if exceptions are made to this age rule. We have seen some children who are only 6 years old who can throw a ball 25 MPH. This event is primarily for older children and adults. The children have many other things that they can do that the adults are not comfortable with.

  3. It is absolutely necessary that each person that is going to be in the Dunking Booth be told that they must put their hands on their knees before anyone is allowed to throw a ball.

(The definition of "Horse Play:" It is also known as but not limited to the following terms: "Pushing, shoving, wrestling, goofing off, flipping or excessive movement or behavior which would invade the area that another child or person occupies")
  3. One Supervisor needs to be a mature teenage girl or a woman since putting on of the bungee harness requires placing the straps through the legs of the children. (Most teenager boys are not comfortable helping teenage girls properly put the straps on.)
  4. The other supervisor needs to be 16 yrs or older and help by controlling the line of people and make sure that everyone takes off their shoes.
  5. Both Supervisors are responsible to make sure that the harness is on correctly and keep the line flowing.
